Disclosures & How We Make Money
Last updated: July 2026
We believe in being straight with you about what this site is, what it isn't, and how it stays running. Here's everything in plain language.
This is education, not advice
Everything on Simple Money Playbook — the lessons, the recipes, the book, the emails — is for general educational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, or medical advice, and it isn't tailored to your personal situation.
We'll never tell you which specific stock, fund, account, or product to buy. Before making decisions about your money, please talk to a qualified, licensed professional who knows your full circumstances. You are responsible for your own financial choices.
How we make money
Simple Money Playbook keeps the lights on a few honest ways, and we'd rather you know all of them:
- Memberships. Most of what supports this site is the $1/month (or $10/year) membership. That's the main thing, and it's deliberately cheap.
- Affiliate links. Some posts link to tools, apps, or products we genuinely use and recommend (think budgeting apps or kitchen gear). If you buy through one of those links, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. We only ever recommend things we'd tell a friend about, and a recommendation is never for sale.
- The book. Brad's book is sold on Amazon; we earn a royalty on copies sold.
What we make money on never changes what we say. The advice stays the same whether you buy anything or not, and member content is kept free of ads and affiliate links.
Affiliate disclosure (the FTC version)
In line with FTC guidelines: posts that contain affiliate links will say so clearly at the top, before the first link. When we link to a product or service and you purchase through that link, we may receive a commission. This never increases your price.
About the recipes & nutrition info
Cost-per-serving figures are estimates based on typical national grocery prices at the time of writing and will vary by store, region, and season. Nutrition information, where shown, is auto-calculated and approximate — it may not be exact, and it is not medical or dietary advice. If you have specific dietary or health needs, check with a doctor or registered dietitian.
About member stories & results
Any results or success stories we share reflect individual experiences. They are not a promise or guarantee that you'll get the same outcome — your results depend on your own situation and effort. Most people's experiences will be different.
